I have been influenced by being born and raised in SanAntonio, TX(Hispanic) and serving in the Army(Overseas 6 times) for 26 yrs. I had a very non-descriptive public education. I managed to graduate from High School in '63. Spent three(3) yrs trying college. Most of the time I was either drunk, high, or both. The only thing that saved my ass was the Draft. Vietnam was in full swing and the Marines were drafting everybody. I joined the Army instead of being drafted and stayed for 26 yrs. I retired from the military in Sep '91 and from civilian (Post Exchange) in Jan '08. That lasted exactly six(6) months. Almost went stir crazy! Am now rewriting movie scripts from the '30s-'50s, updating them and adding a Gay theme, for a major Hollywood studio. Remained single, due to military career, and caring for immediate family(mother and brother-both deceased). Came out approximately two(2) yrs ago. I must have been one of the 'Original Closet Cases!' I have known about my being 'Queer' since I was 14 yrs old! I act very straight but can really be very romantic at the appropriate time. What the military taught me was how to take care of myself. I am not at all adversed to fighting when necessary and will do so when the situation arises. Some people are shocked when they get to know me, as I am part of "Woodstock Generation," even though I spent 26 yrs in the Army. I can and do have a wild streak that breaks out periodically. NJMJr!
